About Our Registry

The Danbury Nurses Registry was founded in 1930 by a group of Registered Nurses from the Danbury Hospital School of Nursing. The nurses formed an association to provide private care to patients in the hospital and at home.

For more than 70 years, the Danbury Nurses Registry has continued to grow and expand as the needs of the community have changed. Today, the Danbury Nurses Registry has a membership which includes not only Registered Nurses but also Licensed Practical Nurses, Patient Care Attendants, Hospital Sitters and Live-Ins.
